Photo of Peter Ruta at Rancho Nuevo 1974 or 1975. In the 90s these woods became an army base. Paintings from the 70s. He painted seven days a week, the sunshine was reliable even in rainy season. Rain began like clockwork every day at one PM, let up by 3 or 4, and then quite often rainbows spanned the valley toward evening. Rain seemed to be regulated by a Mayan calendar.
